These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at renewco.ca ("the Site"), operated by Renew Co Contracting Ltd. ("we," "us," "Renew Co"). By accessing the Site or submitting an inquiry through it, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About these Terms

These Terms cover your use of the Site itself — browsing pages, submitting contact forms, requesting estimates, and similar interactions. These Terms are not the renovation contract. If you engage Renew Co for a renovation project, a separate written contract specific to your project will be provided and signed before any work begins. That contract — not these Terms — governs the scope, price, timeline, warranty, and obligations of both parties for the renovation work itself.

2. Who we are

Renew Co Contracting Ltd. is a residential renovation contractor incorporated in British Columbia under BC Incorporation Number BC1523672, with a registered office at 5738 Wales St, Vancouver, BC V5R 3N4.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use this Site. By using the Site, you confirm you meet these requirements.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:

Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Use the Site to harass, harm, or impersonate anyone
Attempt to access systems, accounts, or data without authorization
Interfere with the Site's operation, security, or other users
Scrape, harvest, or use automated tools to extract content from the Site without our written permission
Use the Site or its content for any commercial purpose other than evaluating Renew Co's renovation services

5. Site content and accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to keep information on the Site accurate and current, but content is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. In particular:

Pricing ranges shown on service, location, and combo pages reflect typical 2025–2026 Vancouver-area projects and are estimates only. Your fixed quote follows a free in-home consultation and will be specific to your project.
Timelines shown are typical and depend on scope, permits, materials, and site conditions specific to your project.
Permit information reflects our understanding of current municipal requirements. Permitting rules change; current information should be confirmed with the relevant municipality before relying on it.
Blog content is informational and should not be relied on as legal, engineering, financial, or construction advice for a specific project.

6. Inquiries and quotes

Submitting a contact form, free-estimate request, or other inquiry through the Site does not constitute an offer or contract. A binding renovation agreement exists only when a written project contract is signed by both you and Renew Co.

Estimates and quotes provided are subject to site verification. Our final fixed-price quote will be issued in writing after a free in-home consultation.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — text, photos, graphics, logos, design, and code — is owned by or licensed to Renew Co Contracting Ltd. You may:

View, share, and link to pages on the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes
Quote short excerpts of content with attribution to renewco.ca

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or use Site content for commercial purposes without our written permission. The Renew Co name and logo are trademarks of Renew Co Contracting Ltd.

8. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to third-party websites (e.g., Google Business Profile, BC Registry Services, municipal websites, supplier sites). We have no control over those sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Use of third-party sites is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by BC law:

Your use of the Site is at your own risk
The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
Renew Co Contracting Ltd. is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site
Our total liability for any claim related to the Site is limited to CAD $100

These limitations do not apply to:

Liability that cannot be excluded under BC law (e.g., gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud)
Obligations under a signed renovation contract — those are governed by that contract, not these Terms

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Renew Co Contracting Ltd. from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third-party right while using the Site.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via the website. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site will be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Renew Co regarding the Site. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
